Associates of Cape Cod Inc. USA (ACCI) is one of the worlds largest manufacturer of endotoxin detection products. ACCI founded in 1974 by Dr. Stanley Watson, was the first company to be licensed by the FDA to manufacture LAL for use as a quality control test for endotoxin detection in the pharmaceutical and medical device markets. Pyrotell Gel - Clot Method
ACCI's most popular gel clot test was the first to be licensed by the US FDA. Ease of use and several different test sizes make this a favourite choice of customers. Ranging from single test vials, 20 test vial, and 50 test vials, allows customers of all sizes to use this product to check their samples. This method simply involves testing the sample by mixing it with lysate in a test tube, incubating for a specific time and checking to see if a gel clot has been formed by inverting the test tube. An added benefit according to US FDA, this method is considered the final referee test in case disputes arise while using other methods of testing. The lysate is stable for 24 hours once reconstituted if kept at 2-8 degrees celcius, or 3 months if stored at or below -20 degrees celcius, but it must be frozen once only.

Pyrochrome Chromogenic Reagent
Highly cost effective chromogenic reagent. Complies with USP, EP, and JP bacterial endotoxins test chapters. Highly sensitive method, can test up to 0.001 EU/mL. Also comes in Diazo format to overcome color intereference in samples. Pyrochrome is stable for 8 hours when stored at 2-8 degrees celcius after reconstitution. To be used with EC010, 10 ng/vial Control Standard Endotoxin. The results can be read in a microplate reader equipped with a 405-410 nm filter or 540-550 nm filter for the diazo method.

Control Standard Endotoxin
Control Standard Endotoxin also commonly referred to as CSE is a standard used for endotoxin testing. CSE formed from the purified extract of E.Coli O113:H10, is the same strain used by USP and EP for the reference standard endotoxin also known as RSE.
All CSE come with Certificate of Analysis which indicate the information required to use the product correctly and so that the results can be reported in Endotoxin Units (EU) and International Units (IU). CSE is used to make standard curves and controls when performing LAL assay. The concentrations are dependent on type of method being used eg. chromogenic, gel-clot, or turbidimetric and for photometric method, the detection range required.
The Control Standard Endotoxin is available in the following strengths:
EC010 - CSE, 10ng (used with the chromogenic method)
E0005 - CSE, 0.5ug/vial (used mainly with gel-clot methods)
E0125 - CSE, 125ug/vial (mainly for oven depyrogenation studies)
Pyrosate Kit
For Rapid Endotoxin Detection, is an easy to use gel-clot test. A complete kit which allows convenience for research, testing water and dialysate. The Pyrosate kit is available in a 10 test or a 30 test bulk package. The kit contains a 2λ* endotoxin tube (PPC) matched to the sample (SPL) tube for each sensitivity. This feature is unique to the Pyrosate assay and ensures the validity of the test. The kit is stable at room temperature and does not require special temperatures.

LAL Reagent Water (LRW)
A specially processed water for the reconstitution of LAL Reagents and CSE and dilution of samples. LAL Reagent Water contains less than 0.001 EU/mL endotoxin and less than 1.56pg/mL glucan.

Pyrosol LAL Reconstitution Buffer
Pyrosol is an FDA licensed buffer for reconstituting Pyrotell multi-test or Pyrotell - T Lysate. Used for testing solutions for which it is difficult to adjust pH into the required range. Pyrosol buffer is also available with a pH indicator for gel-clot applications.
